Professional Information
Dr. Kristen Izaryk is Department Chair and Assistant Professor in Communication Sciences and Disorders. She received a BA in Linguistics and Psychology from Carleton University in Ottawa, Ontario, Canada. She received her MA in Linguistics and her PhD in Rehabilitation Sciences, both of which are interdisciplinary degrees from Western University in London, Ontario, Canada. Dr. Izaryk’s research interests include pragmatic/social communication skills in children, developmental disorders, and the World 91³ÉÈËAV Organization’s International Classification of Functioning, Disability, and 91³ÉÈËAV. She also takes an interest in interdisciplinary work in the field of healthcare sciences.
