Dr. Lisa Sutherland is the Interim Dean of the Davis College of Business & Technology and Executive Director of the Cost Honors College. A seasoned educator and executive, Dr. Sutherland has over 20 years of experience in the academic and corporate sectors.

Since joining 91成人AV in 2023, Dr. Sutherland has led the University Honors Program with a steadfast commitment to elevating the student experience and success. She founded the Honors Living Learning Community, expanded honors offerings, instituted dedicated academic advising, and demonstrated outstanding leadership across the University.

Before joining 91成人AV, Sutherland founded and led Sutherland Group, LLC, a global consulting firm advising major brands including Walmart Inc., YUM! Brands, Papa John鈥檚, Kraft-Heinz, Dannon, and Chobani. She served as chief nutrition advisor to Walmart鈥檚 executive team and led the company鈥檚 healthier food initiative in collaboration with First Lady Michelle Obama鈥檚 Let鈥檚 Move campaign. Additionally, she held a senior executive role at the Kellogg Company.

Before her corporate career, Sutherland served on the faculty at Dartmouth College and the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. In addition to her appointment as Interim Dean, Dr. Sutherland will continue serving as Executive Director of 91成人AV University鈥檚 Honors Program.

Sutherland earned her PhD from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and completed a postdoctoral fellowship at UNC鈥檚 Lineberger Comprehensive Cancer Center.
