The nursing pinning ceremony has a rich history that dates back to the 19th century. This honored ceremony originated with Florence Nightingale, the founder of modern nursing. This ceremony marks the beginning of your journey as a professional nurse. We are delighted to celebrate this momentous occasion with you and your loved ones.
- Graduate Check-In: You should check in no later than 2:45 in the Keigwin School of Nursing. We will line up at 3:45 and begin processing into the ceremony.
- Parking: There will be two ceremonies earlier in the day, you could experience difficulty finding parking as a result. Please plan accordingly.
- Security Checkpoints: While processing into the ceremony, students must pass through the security checkpoint and screening. It should not go off from basic items like belts, keys, etc. Please do not bring any pocket knives or other items that will cause the machine to go off.
- Attire: will be business, pants required

Greetings Student Ambassadors,
We are asking for your help with set up, directing guests, and assisting with the flow of people as well as afterward breakdown if available. Furthermore, it is a great opportunity to see the Nursing Convocation ceremony as a whole, so you have an idea of how to plan for when your cohort graduates!
- For Saturday, May 3rd, if you can assist, we ask you to wear your community uniform and be available for the ceremony during the times below:
- Friday 3:00 pm- 6:30 pm
